Fire Fighting Procedures:COOL BATTERY EXTERIOR TO PREVENT RUPTURE.
ACIDS MISTS AND VAPORS GENERATED IN A FIRE ARE TOXIC AND CORROSIVE.
Unusual Fire/Explosion Hazard:HYDROGEN GAS IS PRODUCED DURING NORMAL
BATTERY OPERATION AND MAY EXPLODE IF IGNITED. KEEP SPARKS AND OTHER
SOURCES OF IGNITION AWAY FROM BTTERY.
Accidental Release
Spill Release Procedures:DO NOT RELEASE UNNEUTRALIZED ACID NOR FLUSH
LEAD CONTAMINATED ACID TO SEWER. COVER SPILL WITH SODA ASH (SODIUM
CARBONATE) OR QUICK LIME (CALCIUM OXIDE) TO NEUTRALIZE. COLLECT
RESIDUE AND PLACE IN SUIT ABLE CONTAINER FOR LATER DISPOSAL.
Neutralizing Agent:SODA ASH (SODIUM CARBONATE) AND QUICK LIME (CALCIUM
OXIDE).
